I have designed many basic websites in wordpress but never before done an E-commerce website. I dont know much of coding as of now, so i will be relying on plugins and hacks to implement features. The main aspects of the website would be..
- The most important thing is security. I dont wanna screw up on my first project
- The payment gateway will be ccavenue
- I want to have an option popped up for the user when he first opens up the site that give it 2 options - male and female and based on his/her selection the home page products are customized
- the customer can apply discount coupons during checkout
- And the most frustrating one is that i have to do all this in minimum budget. i.e. no VPS just shared hosting
WP e-commerce doesnt seem to support ccavenue. Will it be a good idea to use third party plugins to implement that ? Based on these requirements what will you suggest me to go with ??
