Perhaps the following could be a pro feature?
1. Managing a championship from one site on a network install that updates results to sites on the network via shortcodes.
2. User roles for the main championship site (the site where the championship across the network is managed) that would allow a group of users to update results.
3. The ability to run a championship on a network above may lead to websites supporting one team and visited by supporters of another team. Clicking a team name that brings up all the matches for that team would be useful. (Similar to what [matches league_id=1 mode=home] or http://www.fosseberget.no/index.php?option=com_joomleague&func=showPlan&p=4&tid=2&Itemid=59 does).
