It is not that the pagination plugin always worked correctly in your situation. You just never saw the ‘problem’ because matches always appeared on the first page. I think the problem lies in the fact that both “open matches” and pagination filter the same data set and while these extensions work fine on their own, the combination of the two gives this problem. Pagination thinks their are 64 items and makes 7 pages. But “open matches” filters out 62 matches. Giving you 6 empty pages with no data.
Because you have the matches ordered by match type first, this gives this weird effect that first pages are empty and match type final is on the last page. That’s why I also suggested changing the ordering of matches as a solution.
p.s. As a temp ‘solution’ you can also change the name of the match type to “final”. Doesn’t solve the problem, but at least no one notices on the website 🙂
